Construction underway on new Redcliffe cancer care centre
Construction is underway on a new GenesisCare cancer care centre in Redcliffe, Queensland — expected to open mid-2026. The centre will be GenesisCare’s 10th in Queensland and is part of the new $30 million Altiva Health medical facility by Allamanni Developments. Once fully operational, the centre will aim to provide cancer care to more than 450 patients each year.
Located at the Altiva Health development on Silvyn Street, it will operate alongside a Qscan medical imaging and radiology clinic. Redcliffe Hospital’s medical oncology, allied health and radiation oncology consulting services will be a short distance away, with the intention being to offer patients comprehensive cancer services without the need to commute long distances between appointments.
“We know that accessing care close to home can be critical for cancer patients who are faced with so many emotional, social and physical challenges. Long commutes, travel costs and logistics can create an extra burden while seeking treatment,” said Dr Marie Burke OAM, GenesisCare Radiation Oncologist and Medical Director of Queensland.
