Blacktown Hospital's new 30-bed inpatient unit — design first look
The NSW Government has given a first look at the designs for a new 30-bed inpatient unit at Blacktown Hospital — part of a $120 million upgrade of Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.
The unit, which will provide an expanded and contemporary acute inpatient capacity, will include a mix of fit-for-purpose rooms to support recovery and the expansion of clinical and non-clinical support service spaces.
The hospital’s capacity to support patients recovering from a range of urgent conditions will also be increased by the new unit.
Construction timeframes will be provided following the appointment of a builder, the government advised, with community consultation, planning and design to continue throughout 2025.
More information on the $120 million upgrade program, which will provide 60 additional beds across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, can be found here, via the NSW Government website.
