$910m new Rouse Hill Hospital — designs released
Designs have been released for the $910 million new Rouse Hill Hospital, intended to cater for the growing healthcare needs of north-west Sydney communities.
The newly released designs show the new main entry of the hospital, an internal access road, a drop-off and pick-up area, green spaces, and a ‘care arcade’ which will house retail and cafe spaces to support families and visitors.

The final scope of the hospital development is expected to include:
- an ED and primary access clinic;
- inpatient beds and day surgery services;
- short-stay medical assessment services;
- pathology, pharmacy and medical imaging services;
- comprehensive birthing services including birthing rooms and a maternity inpatient unit;
- outpatient and ambulatory care services including paediatrics and renal dialysis;
- virtual care and hospital in the home services; and
- prehabilitation, rehabilitation and lifestyle medicine.

The community is being invited to have their say, meet the project team and learn more at the following information sessions:
- Thursday, 27 November, from 3–6 pm at Rouse Hill Town Centre, at Town Square near the library entrance
- Saturday, 29 November, from 10 am–1 pm at Tallawong Village, near the main entrance at the village green
- Monday, 1 December, from 10 am–2 pm at Castle Towers, near Coles
- Wednesday, 3 December, from 11 am–1 pm at Blacktown Hospital foyer, outside Gloria Jean’s
The project is a partnership between the NSW and Commonwealth Governments, with the State Significant Development Application for main works construction now on public exhibition and available to view here.
An early works contractor is expected to be appointed in the coming months, and these works will be carried out to prepare the site for construction of the new hospital.
