Keeping Infection Prevention Front of Mind – Every Day of the Year

Infection prevention is an ongoing commitment to safer care. Every day, healthcare professionals work to protect patients, themselves and communities from the spread of infection.

At Medline, we understand that maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment requires the right protection and consistent supply. We work alongside healthcare providers to deliver solutions that help manage infection risk, protecting both patients and staff.

Different environments present diverse levels of risk for pathogen exposure. From head to toe, our personal protective equipment (PPE) is designed to give staff the protection they need, for a wide range of situations. As well as appropriate products that help keep patients and residents safer from healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).

Here’s how our products can make a direct impact:

Medline Exam and Surgical Gloves

Healthcare facilities need a consistent supply of reliable gloves. Medline helps you protect your front line, bottom line and supply chain with customised solutions for all your needs. Medline offers a comprehensive glove portfolio (including vinyl, and nitrile exam gloves and latex, latex free (polyisoprene), and neoprene surgical gloves) because we know first-hand how important it is to have the right glove for the task.

At Medline, quality and consistency are of the utmost importance. Whether you’re looking for an exam glove or surgical glove, we can help you find what you need with the right glove, size and fit, with high reliability.

Isolation and Surgical Gowns
  • Medline Surgical Gowns are a fluid-resistant, impervious, disposable single-sterile garment worn over a scrub suit during a surgical procedure to help protect both the patient and operating room personnel from the transfer of microorganisms, body fluids and particulate material.1 The use of the surgical gown helps to create a sterile field, decrease the risk of infection to the patient, and protect the healthcare worker from microorganisms and cross-contamination from bodily fluids which may occur during surgery.
  • Medline surgical and isolation gowns are tested according to AAMI* international testing2 and registered as medical devices with the TGA3.
Masks for Clinicians and Patients
  • Comfort and breathability – Medline masks are designed with breathable materials to support airflow while maintaining effective filtration performance.
  • Bacterial filtration efficiency – Medline masks are tested for bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) in accordance with relevant standards, demonstrating their ability to reduce bacterial penetration through the mask material.*
  • Fluid protection – Protection from blood borne pathogens is a serious matter. Medline masks pass the ASTM F1862 and ISO 22609 synthetic blood penetration test at 160mmHg and 120mmHg*, respectively.
