An X-rated video campaign encouraging men to check for testicular campaign has been viewed over half a million times, in a cheeky Game of Thrones parody entitled Game of Balls. It was produced by Australian charity Blue Ball Foundation.
The pornographic film itself is called Play With Yourself and has a brief interlude in which the female star Eva Lovia highlights the importance of checking for signs of testicular irregularities, and she even demonstrates the correct technique for doing so.
Blue Ball Foundation was founded by Victorian Jamie Morgan who experienced his own testicular cancer scare in September 2011. The Foundation teamed up with Adult film production company Digital Playground to deliver the important message to males aged 20-39 as part of World Testicular Cancer Month in April.
“Play with Yourself will save many men from dying unnecessarily from this slow-growing cancer.
“The last thing young men will be expecting to see while watch an adult movie is the star… [addressing] the viewer with a message about testicular cancer. So we think the message will really break through.” Says Morgan.
The star of the film, Eva Lovia, said the campaign was an important and valid way of raising awareness of testicular cancer.
“In Australia the men are actually 21 per cent more likely to get testicular cancer,” Lovia said.
