Clinical care management system wins tech award

A clinical care management system, developed by Person Centred Software, has secured the Excellence in App Development award at the ITAC Awards 2022.

The system is aimed at providers and software companies across the learning disability, residential, aged care, home/ community care and retirement living sectors.

Noted for its innovative approach, the system facilitates real-time communication with care plans, planned care routines and shift handover notes alongside resident preferences, flags for overdue care, and happiness indicators.

The icon-driven system has been specifically designed to be in the hands of aged care workers and, when installed onto a mobile device, the software provides them with instant access to information regarding their residents — from hygiene charts to information surrounding fluid intake and medications due.

Finalists were invited to attend an exclusive Awards Gala Dinner held at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Tuesday, 12 July 2022, where the winners of the ITAC Awards 2022 were announced.

Discussing the prestigious recognition, Tammy Sherwood, CEO of Person Centred Software in Australia and New Zealand, said, “We believe our Clinical Care System greatly enhances the daily lives of older Australians due to its personalised approach to documenting care, enabling aged care workers to tailor their style of caring to suit the individual, as opposed to adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach.”

Established in 2007 as a collaborative activity between peak bodies ACSA and LASA, the ACIITC was formed to spotlight the importance of innovation and technology across care settings.
