Teachers Health Group announces Simone Tregeagle as next CEO
Commencing 1 July 2026, Simone Tregeagle has been announced as the new CEO of Teachers Health Group, which encompasses Teachers Health, Nurses & Midwives Health, UniHealth and Teachers Union Health (TUH). Tregeagle, who is the current Chief Customer Officer, steps into the role following the planned retirement of Brad Joyce — who has led the organisation for the past 20 years.
“Simone’s appointment reflects the Board’s commitment to continuity, stability and member-focused leadership,” Teachers Health Group Board Chair Maree O’Halloran said. “To date, Simone has been instrumental in shaping our strategy, strengthening our operations and ensuring we continue delivering value for our members.
“Her extensive knowledge of the organisation, strong commitment to our members and proven leadership across key strategic initiatives make her the right person to guide us into our next chapter.”
Tregeagle brings almost 30 years of leadership in the private health insurance sector to the position, having held senior roles across Australia’s mutual and not-for-profit health insurance sector, including as CEO of RT Health and Transport Health.
