Friday, 15 November, 2013
The President and Board of Aged and Community Services Australia have been reappointed unopposed at the Annual General Meeting of ACSA in Melbourne.
Vaughan Harding, CEO since 2001 of Juniper, a Uniting Church community, retains the position of President. Directors Viv Allanson (NSW), Ray Glickman (WA), Stephen Cornelissen (Victoria), Dennis Chamberlain (South Australia-Northern Territory), Robyn Batten (Queensland) and Jill Savell (Tasmania) return for another 12 months.
ACSA CEO Adj Prof John G Kelly AM said it was an excellent opportunity for ACSA to continue to progress its agenda with the same Board.
“The reform agenda is significant and with the change of government it is vital that our members know their interests are in safe hands and will be represented with continuity and confidence,” Professor Kelly said. “I am delighted to be working with the same Board for the next 12 months.
“ACSA held a very successful conference in Melbourne this week and we are looking forward to engaging with the Abbott Government to get the best results for our members.”
