LASA National Congress 2016  Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, 9 – 12 October
LASA National Congress 2016 aims to be the most comprehensive, thought-provoking aged care event of the year. This year’s theme ‘Imagining ages services: no borders, no boundaries’ is about finding new ways of building a stronger age services industry to meet the ever-increasing demand for care and services.
With the announcement of major funding cuts and further reforms to aged care services, there has never been a more critical time to discuss what our industry could be – should be – and how we are going to get there.
Ageing is not just an issue for seniors, aged care providers or government – it is an issue of national importance for all Australians.
Bringing you the nation's key decision makers
For the first time, LASA Congress welcomes the Minister for Health and Aged Care Sussan Ley, Shadow Assistant Minister for Ageing Senator Helen Polley and Australian Greens Senator Rachel Siewert to our ‘Super Sunday’ panel discussion on 9 October. The Minister will give the opening address, followed by a panel discussion and interactive Q&A on the future of aged care.
Challenge your marketing approach
Also new to Congress this year, LASA will host a Gruen-style panel session promises to entertain and inform aged care providers on how best to position themselves in the marketplace. Led by behavioural researcher and strategist Dan Gregory, our panel of advertising and marketing experts will go head-to-head as they pitch their ideas to the audience.
Network with peers
Make the right connections at LASA’s corporate speed networking session, facilitated by Congress MC and media personality Tracey Spicer. This session will match delegates who have common interests for three minutes before their next introduction.
