PSA building located at the seat of power

The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia is embarking on an ambitious building project to redevelop Pharmacy House, its national headquarters.
Immediate Past President and building project Chair, Grant Kardachi said the new Pharmacy House will be rebuilt, on the existing site to create a purpose built hub for pharmacy in Australia in the 21st Century.
“The new Pharmacy House will be able to cater for the needs of the Pharmaceutical Society as it evolves into the future,” Mr Kardachi said.
“The building will be a pharmacy hub and a landmark in its own right. Located close to the national Parliament, government departments and other peak medical organisations, it will provide a solid base from which the Society can provide quality members services and advocate for pharmacists at the highest levels of government.
“It will also help the PSA to achieve its vision of improving the health of Australians through excellence in pharmacy practice,” Mr Kardachi said.
As well as housing policy, advocacy and member services, the new building will include a members’ lounge and work space for use by all members when visiting or working in Canberra.
“The old pharmacy house was built as a result of the generosity of PSA members who raised $250,000 towards its construction.
“We invite PSA members to become part of the new Pharmacy House by donating to the Building fund. All donations will be recognised in an appropriate way in the new building,” Mr Kardachi said.
