Nominations Open for 2015 WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards
Wednesday, 21 May, 2014
Nominations are now open for the 2015 WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards which acknowledge and celebrate exceptional nurses and midwives working in Western Australia’s public, private and non-government organisations.
“These awards are a great opportunity to recognise and reward those health professionals who make a real difference to the lives of thousands of West Australians each day,” Health Minister Kim Hames said.
“Recognising our top nurses and midwives through these awards also helps to promote the great range of career opportunities available in our rapidly growing health system as a nurse or midwife.”
The Minister said peers could nominate a nurse or midwife in 11 categories while the public could nominate staff for the Consumer Appreciation Award.
The awards have been delayed by six months this year in order to align them with International Nurses and Midwives Week in May 2015.
Nominations close on Friday, January 30, 2015, with the winners to be announced at a gala event at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday May 9, 2015.
