22nd Chronic Diseases Network and Baker Institute Joint 2019 Conference and Baker Educational Symposium

These two events will educate attendees in best practices around treating and preventing chronic conditions.
The 2019 conference — held 22–24 October — will focus on ‘Healthy Body, Health Minds, Healthy Communities’. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and share knowledge in culturally safe practice, supporting healthy work environments and establishing inclusive models of care to support health and wellbeing.
The Baker Symposium 2019 — held 24–25 October — will focus on health literacy in recognition of 2019 being the International Year of Indigenous Languages. It will also provide the latest evidence-based information and practical tools for health professionals working in remote and rural Australia. It will cover cardiovascular disease and diabetes management and care, as well as relevant research updates.
