Wavelink launches Connected Health business unit

Mobility and clinical communications provider Wavelink has launched a new business unit — Connected Health — which will work with selected qualifying tier one and tier two partners to sell complex solutions to enterprise health customers, including public and private hospitals.

By combining purpose-built smart devices with healthcare-specific applications, Wavelink delivers a connected health experience, which is delivered through key partners and resellers in the region. This is achieved through a high level of engagement with clinical decision-makers within healthcare organisations to determine the solution that meets their requirements. Wavelink collaborates with quality vendors such as Spectralink, Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, Olinqua and SOTI, together with other third-party application partners, to execute project delivery and build solutions such as staff duress, voice and secure text, vital sign monitoring, medication management, critical alert management and equipment location, giving its partners an end-to-end connected health offering to take to market.

“Connected Health demonstrates how, through technology, healthcare organisations can improve patient care and drive operational efficiency with location-based services, duress, surveillance and workflow management as well as communications,” Connected Health Lead Alan Stocker said. “Decision-makers in the healthcare sector need assurance that the suppliers they choose have the expertise and experience to deliver. With Connected Health and Wavelink’s trusted partners, they can be sure of that.”

A natural evolution of Wavelink’s health practice established in 2016, Connected Health represents a firm commitment to the healthcare sector and a platform for partners and customers to experience the full depth and breadth of Wavelink’s expertise in the market. As a distributor, the Connected Health business unit plays a consultancy role with its partners throughout the engagement, offering its own expertise.

“The Connected Health portfolio consists of a constantly expanding portfolio of solutions that let healthcare workers carry out their duties more safely, securely and effectively,” Wavelink CEO Ilan Rubin said.
