WA's Health Support Services appoints Giles Nunis CEO
In Western Australia, Health Support Services (HSS) has appointed Giles Nunis its new Chief Executive Officer. The WA Government agency supports 65,000 employees across the WA health system.
With Nunis having served on the HSS board for the past 18 months, HSS said his appointment was in line with its mission to deliver innovative, efficient and digitally enabled support services to WA’s public health system.
Nunis was Executive General Manager, Digital Transformation at the WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) prior to joining HSS. At WAPHA, Nunis led major initiatives to modernise and streamline healthcare delivery. HSS said that Nunis is known for his commitment to digital transformation and strategic vision, with a proven track record of delivering impactful change across complex systems.
Nunis’s other senior leadership roles in government and industry include: WA Government Chief Executive and Whole of Government Chief Information Officer; Department of State Development Deputy Director General; Ajilon (now Modis) National Managing Director; and WA Ministry of Justice Director Courts.
“I’m honoured to lead HSS at such a pivotal time,” Nunis said. “I look forward to helping shape one of the most significant digital health transformation journeys in Western Australia — one that empowers health service professionals and ultimately benefits all Western Australians.”
HSS extended thanks to Acting Chief Executive Scott Goder, whose leadership and dedication since November 2024, HSS said, have been instrumental in maintaining momentum and focus during the transition.
