Revised Criminal History Registration Standard now in effect
The National Boards’ revised Criminal History Registration Standard is now in effect, Ahpra has advised. The standard guides the boards as they assess how a person’s criminal history is relevant to their suitability for registration as a health practitioner.
Ahpra and National Boards have also published a series of information guides along with the revised standard — designed for applicants, students, practitioners and the public to help explain the revised standard.
To give practitioners and registration applicants an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the changes before they came into effect, Ahpra had provided an advanced copy of the standard in May.
You can read the standard along with the supporting resources here.
