SorbaView SHIELD integrated securement dressing

The SorbaView SHIELD multi-layer dressing and catheter securement system is designed to provide a comprehensive vascular access management solution to manage dwell time, infection rates and associated costs.

Designed to provide built-in, breathable stabilisation with a secure hold, it features soft fabric to conform comfortably with skin movement, deep notches to help seal tubing in place, and tabs and perforations to increase versatility and facilitate easy removal.

With a large window for thorough assessment of insertion site, it also has contoured edges to help prevent dressing from peeling up and SHIELD technology with a stabilisation device, designed to prevent tugging forces from reaching the catheter.

Other features include a reinforced ‘collar’, to keep hubs locked firmly in place; a viral and bacterial barrier film; an absorbent pad that wicks moisture away from the insertion site; and, available on certain designs, secondary closure pieces that enhance stability.
