Hong Kong to host Asia Summit on Global Health this May
The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) are hosting the Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) from 16-17 May 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The event will bring together policymakers, healthcare professionals, academia and business leaders with key industry players, innovative startups and investors from around the world to exchange insights, explore opportunities and collaborate.
Themed “Innovation．Inclusion．Impact”, ASGH 2024 will feature “a series of thematic sessions focusing on the latest trends in different medical sectors. Project pitching and deal-making meetings will also be organised to facilitate business discussions and investment partnerships. InnoHealth Showcase, a dedicated exhibition area featuring global healthcare projects and technologies will be staged alongside the Summit.”
The 2023 event featured over 90 internationally renowned speakers and attracted more than 2500 participants from 40 countries and regions. Over 300 one-to-one meetings matching investors with global healthcare projects were arranged.
Coinciding with ASGH 2024, the third edition of International Healthcare Week (16–31 May 2024) coordinated by HKTDC will also be organised to synergise healthcare-related events in Hong Kong to facilitate more cross-disciplinary collaboration between industry players and interlocutors. As anchor events under the Week, the ASGH and HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair will be staged concurrently to highlight Hong Kong’s strengths in the healthcare sector.
